I am writing an Acrobat application to accept scholarships applications for scholarships our motorcycle riding club is offering to college and trade school students. This book is very useful and helpful in my task. I received the book in three days using free shipping. This book is well written, easy to use as a tutorial or reference book. In the future, if I need technical books, I will first see if Ted Padova has written one on the subject. If he has, this is the first book I will consider.

Assigned to review 90,000 pages of Acrobat document in connection with a lawsuit, I was particularly interested in Acrobat's Search feature. Given the size of the project, I bought three books, seeking to familiarize myself with Acrobat's search capabilities:1. 2. Adobe Acrobat X Classroom in a Book; and3. This book, Adobe Acrobat X PDF Bible.The first book proved to have virtually nothing on the Search feature. After looking through it, it appeared to me to be generally useless.The second book provided a nice overview of Acrobat X, including the Search feature. It is clearly written and would appear to be the best choice for the average user.The third book suffers from organizational problems, but it has a good index and I was ultimarely able to answer all my questions, albeit slowly. It is the book of choice for power users who anticipate calling on all of Acrobat's many features.

I, personally, like tech books and this is a great reference for PDFs. I got it because it was recommended by a guy in our IT dept.

Acrobat X PDF is well-written, easy to follow and with clear and concise instructions. For instance, if you want to learn about creating booklets or books from your home computer, this reference shows you that, besides a whole lot more.

This book tells everything! A great tool for how to create or do anything on a pdf file. I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to enhance their skills on pdf and adobe acrobat X

I can't imagine what I would need to know about Acrobat X PDF that this book doesn't explain. This 896 page tome is certainly lengthy, but I find it easy to understand and what's more important, easy to find what I'm looking for when I need help on something. It's definitely a keeper!

The book explains everything very well. I am very pleased to have this as part of my library. As with any good book; I keep other references around because there are times when even the very best references may fall short. I cannot imagine being able to expand my using Adobe Acrobat with it.

Was helpful in getting started in adding fields to a PDF that would later be filled by a Java EE software application.
